Phone Book Mash-Up
Phone books are turning extinct, at least for my generation. I cant remember the last time I grabbed one to look up a number. Why when I could just google the number? Last Christmas, I had a race with my mom who could find a phone number faster. I with my computer, her with a phone book. I won and she gave the excuse that the number wasn't listed.....sore loser. :) So what is happening with all these unused phone books? Well, this Yelp Mash-Up Bash gallery event Friday night displayed art with recycled phone books. I collaborated with Abby to make a beautiful dress from phone books and a rotary phone (thanks Aunt Marilyn)
