Renegade Craft Fair (Part 2)

I can not talk about the Renegade Craft Fair without mentioning Virginia Kraljevic! She was voted the Best Booth Ever by the Heart Handmade Blog and I have to agree! Virgina told me this was her first craft fair. At the last minute, she was grabbing things from around her apartment to use as displays. She is one of the sweetest people I've met and she is taking a risk by following her dream. Check out her Etsy Shop.

Something's Hiding in Here!
I was completely awe struck when I saw the owners of Something's Hiding in Here at the craft fair! I ran up to them like an obsessed fan, running my mouth about how Im such a huge fan and have been reading their blog forever. Thank you Vivee for introducing me to them. Check out their Etsy Shop.

Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair

I am very lucky to live in a location where the Renegade Craft Fair stops. I was so excited that I attended both Saturday and Sunday and purchased several things, but they were all gifts for friends/ family.
For those of you who dont know, the Renegade Craft Fair is an amazing DIY craft fair that visits only a few major cities each year.

Taste of Nebraska

Ok, Im a little behind on my posting. My brand new computer crashed and was at Best Buy for 3 weeks getting a new hard drive installed.

So, here's where we left off with the "Taste of Nebraska".

The event was considered a success, even if we did lose a little money and had 200 mini runzas left over. it was a great marketing tool for the Alumni Association in New York, Nebraska Society of New York. We estimated about 150 Nebraskans attended and the silent auction items were a hit. The most popular items, if I do say so myself, were the Marma Designs' bags and tees. Andrew Boettger did an amazing job styling the items for the auction. I also dressed many of my friends and volunteers for the day. It really got people talking! I was almost famous for a day. They couldn't believe the designer of this print was there in person, ha!
Here are a few pictures from the event:

Taste of Nebraska in NYC!

Tomorrow is the big event Ive been waiting for since I moved here. The Taste of Nebraska is a fund raising event for a scholarship to the University of Nebraska. Ive gotten back into the swing of things by printing bags and shirts to be a part of the silent auction along with other great donated items. And the best part is that 1200 Runzas were shipped from Omaha to be served as well as Valentino's Pizza, UNL Dairy Store ice cream, and Fairbury hot dogs. Thank you to my brother Cody for being such a big help with the TON from afar. It would have been great if he could have made it to see his hard work pay off. More thanks will come with pictures tomorrow.

Here is the article featured in the Omaha World Herald by Michael Kelly. Stay tuned to the Lincoln Journal Star Sunday for our feature!
