Portland Streets

I'm from a very small town in Nebraska, 230 people to be exact. Growing up there was quite the experience. I wasn't like a lot of the students in my school. Most of my clothes didn't come from the mall {70 miles away}, they came from the local Senior Center Thrift Store. Because of this reason, people around town thought I was very weird. Even now when I am back visiting, people say "remember how you used to wear all those crazy outfits from the thrift store?" Yes, I remember, I still do! I will wear outfits here in Portland and people ask, "where did you find that awesome _____!" I have to tell them I found it at the best little thrift store back home. I miss that thrift store. Everything was $1. My grandma informed me that their prices have recently been raised to $2, a 100% mark-up. I think that is a little extreme! Still cheaper than thrift stores in Portland though.
My point is, now that I am in Portland, I no longer stand out from the crowd. I am actually very conservative compared to most Portlanders. They love expressing themselves here through fashion.
Here are a few examples:
